If you have an FSH or an HSA, you can talk to your administrator about reimbursement for coaching, however, as a general rule, it is not usually covered.
You can not seek medical or behavioral health reimbursement for most types of coaching and I cannot and do not bill insurance companies.
It is generally recommended that I meet with you weekly for a few sessions to get some clarity on needs, goals, and get some skills in place before stepping down to every other week. Of course this depends on the concerns, scheduling availability, and personal preference!
Specialized Training is VERY important when you have a "specialized need". For example, if I am having a problem with my heart, I do not see a general practitioner, I will go see a Cardiologist. And, I will want to see one with a lot of experience and a good reputation!
Pastors, Therapists, Friends, and Mentors can be amazing support persons when we are going through hard things. However, even though they may give well-intended recommendations, if those recommendations/advice/treatment approaches are not grounded in specialized training and experience, it can create more harm. For example, I hear from many women who state they sought help from a Pastor who said, "You just need to have sex more", "what role did you play in this", "what is it from your background that made you choose someone with an addiction", etc! While these may be well-intended, and even good questions, they MUST be asked at the wrong time! And when a woman's heart is shattered from her partners betrayal, our first goal is to "stop the bleeding" and stabilize with safety!
I had the privilege to be interviewed on an APSATS colleagues website. If you would like to listen to more on this question, check out the interview here!
No. Like other professionals, I do not offer refunds once the service is provided. This is clearly communicated in our Coach-Client Agreement.
For Group Coaching, there are no refunds offered once group has begun as the spot was reserved for you for the duration of the committed group time. T
*here are a few limited circumstances where a refund for group will be offered in the way of a "credit" for future groups.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance in my coaching practice. I adhere to the International Coach Federation's (ICF) Code of Ethics, which includes strict guidelines for maintaining client confidentiality.
I am a mandated reporter, however so there are certain circumstances where I may be required by law to report what has been disclosed (this is covered in the terms & conditions. If you have any additional questions, please ask!)
