You have a story!

Your life is made up "stories" as a way of understanding yourself, the world, God, and others. 

The trouble is, that many of the stories that you started believing long ago, are riddled with partial truths, and all out lies that you have believed. 

As a Believer, you know that the enemy came to steal, kill, and destroy. Right? How do you think he does that?

Let's look at how Satan tempted Eve in Genesis, then Jesus. "Partial truths", slight manipulations of truth that could easily be missed if you aren't paying very, very close attention (and know what the Gospel says!) . If you are not walking in Freedom most of the time. If you are not able to read the Word of God and believe what it says- fully, then you have some lies embedded In your life story! 

 When you begin to honestly share your story, and find that you are truly heard by another, a new freedom and new vitality come into your life. Each of us needs someone to bear witness to the core stories of our lives, and to help us make sense of why our life looks and feels the way it does. When people go to therapy, most often learn to merely understand the "how" and "why" and get some ways to shift perspectives, and some new ways to cope. I spent hours and hours in therapy (and a lot of money!) learning about "why" I do what I do. 

Getting validation and feeling better for little while with the validation- however insight only does so much for us. Validation feels good, but only temporarily. Coping skills work fine, as long as we keep using them, and don't get too triggered or overwhelmed. God has so much more for us! 

Jesus came to set the captives free. 

Jesus came so we could have abundant life. 

And we are to be living in the commandments to love our Lord our God with all our hearts, all our minds, and all our strength- and loving our neighbors as ourselves! Well, if you are struggling with those commandments to love. If you are struggling to believe how loved and valuable you are to God (not just in your head!), if you are having a hard time with claiming your God-given Authority and the promises God has given you- you are not yet free. 

And I have been called to partner with the Holy Spirit to use my story, of what the enemy meant for evil, for God's purpose, to help set the captives free...I am living in my restoration story, and I want to help you to find yours!
